Prayer for US Election

 O Lord, we come with anxious hearts, the election in the US has us worried. In fact, many people in the world are worried.

We pray for those who have the responsibility to vote, be with them and give them wisdom

We pray for those who have the responsibility of counting ballots and those who oversee the election, be with them and give calmness of spirit as they act with integrity

We pray for all who will hear of, learn of, the result of this election, that as we hear that peace would rule.

Walk with all the candidates - -that kindness and a generosity of spirit might guide their words and action.

We pray for ourselves that we would rest in you, knowing that you will be faithful in your lovingkindness towards us regardless of the results.
